I am again proven to be wrong, optimism is not fair. After staying in the shitty job I got for while, I tried to get an interview with TapRoot Systems.
The HR was a real manipulator and played everything to his advantage without putting a penny out of his pocket. He telephoned me and it went ok. Then their technical engineers telephoned me and even that went good.
The deal was since they do not have a position open and they generally don’t hire non-locals for entry level positions, I had to pay the tickets and eventually they might workout atleast something me. I found it fishy but I want to take my chance.
They asked me all conceptual questions in C++ and I was able to answer all of them. But when I went to their place and interviewed that was complete spoiler. They simply pounded me on C++ and linux, I don’t know why they assumed that I knew it but they just did it.
I felt like saying good bye and coming out of the interview room then itself. The more I say I don’t know the more tougher their questions became.. I think they wanted someone to show their anger on and they got me for food that day.
After going home their HR after a 4 day delay is saying the decision said the obvious, I am not hired and when I asked about reimbursement he hasn’t replied yet.
Lesson learnt
Never trust a HR all of them are just manipulators
